[News] 2AM appointed “Honorary Cool Guy” by Men’s Health

Men’s Health, the world’s largest men’s magazine, appointed 2AM, a popular Korean boy group, as the “Honorary Cool Guy” of the year.
The international men’s magazine has thrown the event every year: designed to award the prize to one of the hottest guys among the cover models of the magazine for the given year. 2AM is the first ‘idol’ members who have been presented with the prize.
The award ceremony will be held at 8:00 a.m. on June 30 at the Millennium Hall of the Central City in southern Seoul in which the 2011 Cool Guy Contest of Men’s Health will also take place.
At the contest, Bang Si Hyuk, 2AM’s music teacher and a proven album producer, is expected to be present as one of the judges.
Fans who heard the news largely responded: “Congrats on acceding to the throne as the hottest guys.” “I’ve thought you were just romantic guys, but the world recognized that you were cool as well.”
Meanwhile, 2AM’s Changmin and Eight’s Lee Hyun are planning to come out with their first album of the project group Homme in July.

Former FT Island member Oh Won Bin successfully completed his "WON BIN SECOND MINI ALBUM RELEASE TOUR" in Japan. Starting on June 21st, Won Bin held concerts in Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo with
an audience of 2,000
.
The tour was led with one of Oh Won Bin's newests songs "Good For You," along with self-arranged and -composed "Love Song," as well as "Always," for which he took part in composing.
Oh Won Bin also performed "Falling Slowly" and "This Time," two official soundtracks from the movie "August Rush."
After he finished his performance Oh Won Bin stated, "Because I've only released two albums, there weren't many songs to perform, but I will work on new songs when I go back to Korea and show a newer me. Please show your love and support."
Oh Won Bin debuted in Japan in March, and he will be returning to Korea to continue his promotions. Won Bin will also be joining the cast for MBC drama "Heartstrings," along with FNC Music labelmates Jung Yong Hwa and Kang Min Hyuk of CNBLUE in the fictitious band "The Stupid" as a guitarist. Details regarding his role in the drama have yet to be announced.
"Heartstrings" aired its pilot episode on June 29th at 9:55PM KST, and the second episode will air tomorrow, the 30th, at the same time.

JYJ’s world tour, which has finally completed its two month marathon, has been revealed.
The episode of KBS2′s ‘Live News Feed’ that aired on the 28th showed scenes from ‘JYJ WORLD TOUR CONCERT IN GWANGJU’, that took place on the 26th at 7pm at the Yeom Joo Gymnasium in Gwangju.
In the interview that took place before the concert, Kim Jaejoong talked about a happening in which he met Park Yoochun by chance at a bar.
Kim Jaejoong said, “Since the Busan concert, I didn’t have a single phone conversation with the other members,” and “But I bumped into Park Yoochun by chance three times.”
To this, Park Yoochun burst out laughing and said, “I was tired from filming my drama but I didn’t want to waste the spare time that I had, so I went out for a glass of beer with my friends. But there was Kim Jaejoong, sitting in the bar we had just entered. I was really surprised.”
He continued to add, “The owner of the bar thought that I had come with Kim Jaejoong, who had been sitting alone, so he took us all to his room without even asking.“
JYJ’s Park Yoochun is currently acting in MBC’s Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Miss Ripley’ while Kim Jaejoong will be taking his first steps into the domestic drama industry with the SBS drama ‘Protect The Boss’. Finally, nearly every single has ranked high on the charts, with 'I Had an Affair' topping most music charts. In fact, Park Bom's Melon winning streak continues. Almost instantly 'I Had an Affair' leapt passed well-received songs from 2NE1 and T-ara to take root at #1. On the July 2nd the single hit the roof twice.
